Nowadays, we’re proud to offer affordable eyecare and hearing services to customers across the globe.
Meet Doug and Mary Perkins
The Perkins started Specsavers in 1983 on a ping-pong table in their spare room, after a change in UK regulations meant professionals could advertise their products and services for the first time. In 2003, we added hearing care services in the UK. Between 2004 and 2008, the first Specsavers stores opened in Sweden, Norway, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. The company also acquired Louis Nielsen in Denmark. Most recently, we're excited to continue our mission of delivering high quality, affordable eyecare to all, by expanding our services to the US.
